We all know that your smile can go a long way to creating not only a positive self image, but an accurate outward portrayal of your inner beauty as well. There is no exception to this rule in Hollywood, in fact, having a perfect set of teeth is almost a must-have for anyone gracing our movie screens. Unfortunately, not many people are born with a perfect smile, which means – cosmetic dentistry and dentures. We all think that dentures are something for the ageing population, but you’d be surprised how many younger people wear them too. To drive our point home, here is a list of Hollywood celebrities that wear dentures and are fooling everybody.
While this list is in no particular order, we must begin somewhere.
Coming in at #1 is Emma Watson
This Hollywood star wore dentures on the set of Harry Potter when her baby teeth began falling out but she had to maintain Hermione’s dazzling smile.
Our #2 Denture Wearer is none other than Ben Affleck
At age 43, Ben Affleck, who has starred in many blockbuster movies, wore a full set of dentures for years before recently switching to expensive caps instead.
The #3 position belongs to Florence Henderson.
Starring in “The Brady Bunch” Florence has been a strong supporter or wearing dentures. So much so that she’s even a spokeswoman and brand ambassador for Polident denture cleaner.
The #4 spot is taken by Jersey Shore’s famous party diva Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi.
Reports are in that confirm Snooki has been wearing a full set of dentures so that her smile is always on point and perfect. With all the glam and the glitz that surrounds her life, anything short of perfection just isn’t acceptable.
We’re looking back in time to our #5 pick, Clark Gable.
As a young man, Clark was the victim of a bad gum infection that left him seeking the aid of dentures before he was even 32 years of age. Dentures have come a long way since the 1930’s so we can only imagine the sacrifice he made in the name of a camera-ready smile.
Our pick for #6 isn’t a truly Hollywood, but he’s just as big a celebrity. Introducing Jon Bon Jovi.
Instead of his teeth becoming dull and yellow over time, Jon Bon Jovi’s teeth just keep getting more and more perfect. His pearly whites are a thing of magnificent beauty and can almost light up a room all by themselves. Nobody’s teeth look this good at age 53. He’s wearing at least a partial denture.
For years our #7 pick denied wearing dentures – until they literally fell out of her mouth at a restaurant. Janice Dickinson – Don’t worry, we already knew!
Janice made her career as a fashion model and photographer before starring in a host of reality TV shows such as America’s Next Top Model. When you’re in front of a camera as much as she is – your teeth had better be magnificent.
Tom Cruise makes our list at #8.
One of the most famous people in Hollywood, Tom Cruise didn’t always have his perfect smile. As he was proverbially “cutting his teeth” in Hollywood, his denture specialist was doing it literally. Tom had uneven sized teeth during his beginning years but you would never know by looking at his smile now.
The stunning Catherine Zeta-Jones lands at #9
There’s few Hollywood actresses that possess a more magnetic smile than Catherine. While her teeth have never been unsightly, they have definitely improved over the years. She hasn’t admitted to wearing dentures, but we can still tell that she has had a bunch of cosmetic dentistry performed on her smile.
Last but not least, Nicolas Cage rounds out our list at #10.
Mr. Cage has perfect teeth, it’s plain to see. What you probably didn’t know is that he’s had extensive work done to get them this way. His teeth may be expensive implants or a well-made set of dentures, but one thing is for sure – they aren’t his from birth.
